What maintenance does a defibrillator need?

To remain ready for use at all times, a defibrillator needs preventive maintenance and must be replaced after deployment. We take care of both. We replace the electrodes and battery when needed, so the device remains reliable. If a defib has been deployed, it goes straight back to our service centre. We then replace the whole device with one that is ready for use. That way, we can check each device thoroughly, and you can be sure you always have a working defibrillator within reach.

Is the defibrillator covered?

As long as the AED is kept indoors or in your vehicle, it is covered for damage, faults and theft. This cover is included in your subscription.

Who can deploy the defibrillator?

Anyone can deploy it. We chose Philips defibrillators because they are simple to operate and designed with a layperson in mind. The device guides you step by step with clear voice instructions. It will only deliver a shock if needed. You do not need training or medical knowledge.

Is the defibrillator suitable for outdoor use?

Our defib can be deployed anywhere, where you keep it does matter.

  • The HS1 is best suited for indoor use.
  • The FRx is designed to be taken with you, outdoors, in the car or on a boat.

If either defibrillator is stored outside in a fixed location, it is not covered. For these situations, please contact us to discuss the options.

How soon will I receive my defibrillator?

We aim to deliver your AED within two working days.
